Awash with Gouache Painting Class
(Tues 6-9pm) $40 per 3-hour session.
Space is limited to 8 students per session. Sign-up online to reserve your spot.
Have you been wanting to try Gouache painting? Here's your chance to learn the foundations of working in Gouache! Gouache is a highly pigmented, water-based paint, somewhere between watercolor (with more opacity) and acrylics (not as plastic) and is a quick drying medium with a matte finish. And, it's rewettable when you need. Its principles are easy to learn and delightfully applicable for the painter.
SUPPLIES: Bruce will have some Gouache paint and watercolor paper for you to try if this is your first time. If you plan on taking this class multiple times, it is recommended for you to bring your own supplies. Bruce is finding the Himi Gouache Paint Sets very helpful in class, an inexpensive pad of Watercolor Paper, and a small set of cheap brushes with square tipped bristles. Please take individual paint covers off before class.

Intro to Neurographic Art
Taught by Teren Neal
Thurs. April 18th, 2024 6-8pm
Neurographic art is a therapeutic art form, which utilizes drawing, or “doodling” freeform lines called “neuro lines.” These lines, drawn with the simplest of tools, are meant to enable the connection between the conscious and unconscious. This connection is made by the brain cells called neurons being activated in a way that brings forth awareness and mindfulness. This awareness and mindfulness can turn stress into calm. Neurographic art has been used as a healing aid for everything from stress relief, anxiety, chronic pain, and grief among many more.
This beginner class is a simple introduction to Neurographic art intended to teach the basics of drawing the neuro lines and develop awareness through freeform drawing. Once this technique is learned, it can be done anywhere at any time.
Cost: $40.00 per student, max 8 students.
Sign up by April 16, 2024 or when sold out.
