Artist Members
Bellefonte Arts welcomes artist members who are actively creating and marketing their artwork, who are interested in offering art classes, and participating in our events, building our vibrant creative community, to join our artist collective. We are taking a different approach from the usual "gallery" format and are calling our brick and mortar space a unique gift shop featuring the artwork of local artists. We feel that the term "gallery" may be intimidating for some, and we want to offer a comfortable and welcoming venue and workshop space encouraging people to come in to chat with our artists at events, join our artist community, learn or advance their craft, and purchase artwork for their homes, as gifts, or for personal enjoyment. We are finding this approach very successful.
If you are interested in joining our community of artists, then we are looking for you! We welcome local artists to join us.
We are accepting new members and art instructors. You are invited to fill out the application and you will be contacted you soon.
Currently we are filled for Photography, Jewelry (we have a waiting list), Tie Dye clothing, and Body Products. We have openings for Pottery, Purses, Stained or Fused Glass, Wearables, Leather goods, Oil Painting, Printmaking, Pen & Ink, Woodwork, Sculptures (small) - basically any unique work that we don't already have!
Please read the Membership Information below, before you fill out the application. If you have a social media site dedicated to your artwork - perfect! Please include it!
Our staff consists of artist volunteers, so please be patient with us as some of us work from home in our spare time. We will respond to your inquiry as soon as we can.

Associate Membership
Associate Membership is geared towards local artists who do not have a large body of work to qualify for an exhibiting membership or are not currently able to have an exhibiting membership space in the shop due to existing Bellefonte Arts members having similar work. Local artists who want to promote their handmade work through having a link on the Bellefonte Arts website are welcome to apply.

Bellefonte Arts brings customers to our website through social media posts, local calendar listings, paid advertisements, participation in the Wilmington Art Loop, and Bellefonte Arts events throughout the year, including our annual Bellefonte Arts Festival and events hosted by the Shops of Bellefonte.
Annual membership for associate members is $75.00 per year and would renew automatically via the Bellefonte Arts Square payment subscription service. You may cancel your subscription at any time, but there will be no refund as you are agreeing to pay for one year for a link on our website.
