I am Alice N. T. Reid, and I created Etomi's Treasures as an outlet for the inventive and imaginative jewelry and textile art items I design and craft.

My work tends to reflect my African heritages, using natural materials, such as  stone and gemstones, wood, metal, and organic beads.

It also features other materials from the Indigenous World, which include clay, horn, pearl, and bone beads, and - specifically from Africa - trade beads, sandcast and glass beads, Krobo beads, native woods, shells, paper, and brass.

The inclusion of items from nature and my people will always be the focus of everything I handcraft.

These ornaments reflect this focus.

You can view these beautiful ornaments on the Bellefonte Arts community tree at Longwood Gardens, during the annual A Longwood Christmas (Nov 21, 2025 through Jan 11, 2026). Alice is typically in the Bellefonte Arts shop on Friday afternoons and that is your opportunity to stop in and meet her and talk about her artwork and poetry.
