Dvorak by: Dva DeNaye Longwood Community Tree Ornaments

Dvorak by: Dva DeNaye is an art space where I, as a Black female artist, showcase my digital illustrations and occasional traditional pieces. My art is a mixture of whimsical, sci-fi, anime-inspired, mythical, and empowerment.

When I create art, my primary intention is to bring more black representation and black inclusivity into the art, anime or character design world. 

I aspire for my art to be fun,sometimes cute, uplifting, inspiring to others and overall just intriguing to anyone who views it.

For me, my art is healing. Sometimes I have a set idea in mind and others come as things shift with me personally. Ultimately for me, my art is an out of this world journey and I'm just enjoying the ride.

A couple of Dvorak by: Dva DeNaye ornaments for the Bellefonte Arts Community Tree at Longwood Gardens were made by converting her digital design into a Perler Bead finished ornament.

This seemingly tedious process of placing the beads into an exact pattern can be quite relaxing and her partner Rhon also made an ornament to hang out on the Bellefonte Arts community tree at Longwood Gardens as well.
