Nancy Butler of Alley Cat Jewelry Studios Longwood Community Tree Ornaments

Nancy Butler of Alley Cat Jewelry Studios decided to expand upon her jewelry making skills and create these beautiful ornaments for the Bellefonte Arts community tree at Longwood Gardens, during the annual A Longwood Christmas (Nov 21, 2025 through Jan 11, 2026).

She hand formed and hammered abstract copper wire bases, then wrapped those forms with fine copper wire and semi-precious stones.

The stones she used were turquoise, lapis lazuli, citrine, ruby, garnet, howlite, agate, along with handmade lampwork and blown glass beads.

There is also a lot of small glass and crystal beads to tie in with the Longwood Christmas theme centered around Jewels and Gems and all things that glitter.
