My name is Stephanie Hinson and I create for Stephanie’s Upcycles. As the name suggests, I am an Upcycler and I find interesting objects from places like Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, yard sales, friends and family, and either turn them into something different or I alter the item in some way (eg., via paint or beading).

I collect things like tableware, lamp shade frames, buttons, orphan jewelry pieces or corks, and reuse them. Frequently, I create mobiles—both wind chimes and suncatchers which I display and/or sell.

For the Longwood event, I dipped into my trove of wine corks and made Christmas tree ornaments in a variety of gem tones and with an assortment of decorative, hanging attachments, including mini candy molds, chandelier crystals, jewelry pieces, and holiday-themed trinkets.
